LEARNING is SIMPLE

.  .  .  an Educational Therapy Program
serving northern New Jersey

Learning is Simple is an Educational Therapy program which teaches struggling, underachieving, classified, and dyslexic students the tools to become “A” students. We work one to one with students to avoid labeling or classification, and we work one to one with classified students to enable them to return to the mainstream. Our students are then able to reach their potential instead of being segregated into classes with lower expectations and demands.

The philosophy of Learning is Simple is that many of our most creative and greatest inventors, cutting edge engineers, writers, and successful businessmen have been from the group of people now labeled as lower achievers, struggling students, or learning disabled. We train our students to work diligently at their current profession which is being a student.

We enable our students to reach their potential and to begin to see themselves as competent and competitive future adults. We train these students to develop compensating and coping strategies for exceptional careers versus the watered down “I can’t” mentality currently being put before them in school. Today’s struggling students are subtly being taught that the system will always pay them the same as independent and capable people even if they can do less. They think that employers like schools will always make allowances for them. As we adults know, that is not true in the work world on any level. They are given a lot of services in the schools today, but very little real help in overcoming their deficits.

Graduates of Learning is Simple are equipped to compete with or exceed their peers who initially breezed through school. Graduates learn to approach difficult tasks with confidence, to work hard, and to understand that hard work pays off in success. A Learning Disability can be overcome !!

This is not a tutoring service which usually occurs throughout the child’s school years just to keep him up with classes. The program is most effective for the student when the commitment is made to attend twice a week, winter and summer for 2-3 years. By this time most students are capable of moving ahead without any further tutoring. It can be begun at any age. Our youngest students have been kindergarteners and our oldest students have been adults. It is, however, a shorter, easier process when begun early. First to third grade is the ideal time to begin this program.
